Testimony on finishing the race with victory‏

Dearest family,
I was so absolutely amazed as I read those devotions that I have shared about my journey with God for the past three years in my university life. I could not help but was truely grateful to God as I recounted back on every single grace and favour that he has blessed me with. First of all, let me gave thanks to God for blessing me with an A- in my Final Year Project and Professional Communication module. This was indeed a significant encouragement to me as it testified of God’s faithfulness and grace.

I prayed that even as you read this testimony, God will speaks deeply to your heart that you too can experience and taste God’s goodness in your life. The time when I started my university studies also marked the time when I came to know the Lord, Jesus Christ. It was definitely not a smooth sailing journey for me as I started off with lots of struggling in my studies and even received an academic warning from the school due to extreme poor grades in my first semester. As I just came to know the lord, I did not know how to tap on God’s strength and neither leading a positive attitude for Christ. I always seemed to be handling negative thoughts that I could not do well in my exams and often fell into a self-pity mode. It was definitely a battle of my mind and emotions.

However, due to the spirit of obedience that the lord has blessed me with, I was disciplined in the words of God. It was not a hundred percents consistency in my daily quiet time but at least I could assure that I did not abandon the bible or miss out the church services. And as all of us are human beings, it was normal that at times when we faced stress during trials, we tend to reduce our trust in the lord and try to rely on our own flesh. This happened to me countless time when I seemed to fall into the valley of Baca and experienced the silent moment from God, not knowing that he has a plan for me and was moulding me in terms of my trust and faith in him.

To shorten my testimony, definitely not because of little miracles along my journey but too much to list it down one by one that it could be compiled into a book, I will straight away shared with you my victory in the last episode of my university life. Throughout my three years, I have being faithfully serving God whenever I am called by my leader but this year was more special as I was given the opportunity to be part of the celebration ministry in the church. It was a step of great faith for me because this year was also considered the most hectic year in my studies due to my final year project. However, God has burned in my heart a passion to serve in the chorale and as such I was having my rehearsal on a weekly basis which means sacrificing more time from my project. Initially, it was not easy as I separated serving God with my studies and most of my non-believer friends do not understand why am I committing those precious time in church activities. The breakthrough came when I was called to volunteer to serve in the G12 conference and it was only one week before my final report submission. It was a struggle as I have not even started with one page of the report in which was supposed to be done eight months ago. However, I did not want to miss out the opportunity to serve in the chorale for G12. Without considering much, I went ahead and was thinking at the back of my mind that I can be a superwomen using one week to finish up an eight months report. I went with peace and joy in the serving but after the G12 conference, I panicked and realized that it was impossible for me to complete my report on time.

It was really a moment when I decided to skip my QT (but it didn’t apply before G12) so that I could earn extra time in the report. Things didn’t go smoothly and I faced extreme critical situation when I did not have a proper laptop to type my report and my file always seemed to have trouble saving or retrieving. It was only at that stressful moment when God showed me 2 Cronicles 20:17-18 in which I have shared in my previous devotion. The lord prompted me to take up my position to worship and praise him before I continued with my report just like how Jehoshaphat and his people followed God’s instruction to take their position (worship) and calm themselves down before facing their enemies. They fixed their focus on God rather then the situation and that was what I needed at that moment.

I turned my focus onto God and started to surrender my situation to him. I applied what God has showed me and begun to worship and praise him at the start and in the midst of typing my report. As I started to integrate worships and praises into my work, my burden was lifted off and my faith was gradually stirred up in trusting God even though the situation remained unchanged. God’s favor was indeed upon me as my professor agreed to extend my deadline to two more weeks upon request. I continued to serve chorale weekly and my QT did not cease. I tapped onto God’s strength in my report and eventually situation started to change. I found efficiency and effectiveness in my researching and before long; I realized that I had completed my report. Although it was not a professional report but I trust God that the product of my report belongs to him and it was definitely not because of how good I am, but by his grace and mercy that led me to the completion of the report. I put total confidence in him as I experienced how much he had pulled me through the tough situation and no matter what was the outcome; I would still continued to praise him. I learnt to release my faith and by doing that God was able to release his good work in me.

God was indeed faithful as he really blessed me with an A- in my FYP. It was a miracle for me as this was the third As that I have obtained throughout my three years in NTU. I cried the moment I saw the A- in my result slip not because I never see it before but it was a sign of God’s love to me. At times when I choose to give up, he never let me go but ensure that I can stand firm as a precious child of God.

I ended the race with victory because of God’s faithfulness. He does not only blessed me with one A- but also blessed me with an A- in my professional communication module. It was indeed a double portion of blessing. This encouraged me a lot because I had little confidence in that module due to my weakness in my English language. However, that’s not true for God. He created me wonderfully, not lacking in any part and he strengthen my weaknesses as I placed my uttermost confidence in him. Glory to God!

Therefore, I encouraged all of you to fix your eyes upon Jesus. You are his precious children and there is nothing that can withhold him from blessing you. The process may be slow but that was how God showed his miracle to Elijah in 1 King 18:42-45. God promised an abundance of rain to Elijah and he went up to the top of Mount carmel, got down on his knees with his forehead to the ground. In that position of worship, he sent his servant to run back and forth several times to check if it was going to rain. However, seven times his servant came back with disappointing results. Elijah never gave up but just said, “Go again” despite the negative reports. Doubts may have caused Elijah to give up but worship kept him strong. And finally, the servant came back and reported to him,” Well, I do see one small cloud about the size of a man’s hand.” Hallelujah! The small cloud eventually increased and brought abundance of rain. Today if your faith is as small as the cloud of the man’s hand or of the mustard seed, do not give up as God’s love and faithfulness can never fail!

Evening Girls...
It has been so many days of talk and talk till I feel like my brain is dead! Haha.. finally tomorow I can go SAF airbase.. think its at last something different for a change!

How has everyone been over this week. Dont forget our retreat this coming Sat, 6th June. I believe Joadine have sent to you all the details. Do come as its going be the only time in the holidays where we get to meet up.

I have a few things in mind to share, but I think we should look back upon what Pastor shared last Sun.

Philippians 2:15

1. BE THE BEST : In order to shine, we must try to be the best in what we do
I just checked my results and I only got a PASS for my recent practicum. I guess the rest of my practicum collegue got credit. You can say I am a little disappointed, but I realised maybe I have not really given my best. I did not seriously go into thinking through my Maths lesson plans.
After hearing so much talk about starting out as a beginning teacher for us over the pass few days, I think I really need to take on a more serious attitude when school starts and to give my best

How do you all rate yourselves at your schools or workplace? Are you giving in your best?

2. BE A BLESSING: The 100k blessing is to be a lifestyle
I have been constantly seeking opportunities as I go to sch to bless someone. Yes and finally I manage to bless one of my classmate today, all because I was in school early and he was also the only one who was early as well! Haha...

Maybe you all can share how the Lord has use you to be a blessing this week?

3. BELIEVE : How willing are you to accept your role as being "sent" by the Lord into the Marketplace among the "Wolves"
I am willing and want to constantly on gard against Wolves.
What do you all think distinguishes a person who knows that she is sent by God into that marketplace?
I think its the attitude in doing things, really doing and serving out of a heart to please God and no one else. On top of the attitude, its also the heart of doing, what's that inner motivation in doing. For God's glory or for our own achievements?
Think about it!

3th June Devotion‏

Good evening Girls...
Actually its really late already, 1152pm. Reached home at around 1110pm after the Youth leader's meeting! Super drained now.. with having to get up again at 7am tomorrow morning! These few days are like no day no night... Amazing how I am still here...

Want to encourage you all to read through 1 Kings 18 and 19 for your daily devotions for the next two days. I will touch on that a little more in my other 2 mails. Was too tired yesterday to send my devotion and really feel like not sending anything today as well, just go and sleep since I am so so so tired. However I choose to still make myself type finish this before I sleep.

Ps Julie shared something with us at the Youth Net meeting. She asked us all to pray against the Negative Spirit which seems to be looming and tieing us down, causing us to be discourage. I totally agree when I heard what she shared.

1. Negitive self image: Hence we need to meet up to the world image and follow them
2. Negitave thoughts: Either on a situation or on some people. It can also be due to disappointment in God or praying so hard yet not fully believing that God can make it happen...

There is much more to talk about on these two points, however I do agree I have many negative thoughts, of defeat, of wanting to just give up ministry, even when I encounter problems or challenges in my own relationship with Junhao, I also will think rather negative at matters sometimes.
Its sad we just have no choice but to live in a world that celebrates on the wrong, the bad and the negative, and positive, sucess are rare things.

Think through if you have any negative self image or negative thoughts? Repent of them now and embrace the postive image and thoughts from the Lord today!

1st June Devotion‏

Hi Girls...
Did not manage to write my devotion this morning.. Since I had to reach NIE by 9am.. So initially thought need to reach at 830am so left house really early. Am dead tired now.. Furthermore the talks I had today was like not very helpful. On well.. haha it will be another 4 days of such talks.. Haha... Anyway thankfully for my friend who will be giving me a lift down to NIE for the next few days, I am intending to bless her with the bottle of water which I got from GDOP, together with my 100K blessing card! Pray along with me that there will be open opportunities.

How was the GDOP for you all? Do take time to share for those who went. I dont believe it is just a short time of coming together and pray. As I sand the song "We speak to Nations" I felt a tug of sadness in my heart. It had been something I have not experienced for some time.

I guess over the pass week, I have been constantly asking God to allow me to understand the youths of today, their likes, why they behave in certain ways, how then can I connect with them? Haha maybe some of you can help me with this by allowing me to understand the way you all think better! Haha...

Acts 2: 38

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

I felt God was telling me just that from these verses as I read through Acts 2 again. He wanted me to warn those who are lost, those who are living in sin, those who know God yet are not walking right in the eyes of God. Not only to warn them but to plead with them to save themselves from this corrupt generation and to get them to repent and be baptize.

I guess in a way I do lost that zeal to really bring down things which are wrong, and in a way have been compromising God's standards. If I do not be the one who warn and plead, then who will? God promised with those who accepted this message, comes along with it many more salvations!
Maybe God is also calling some of you to move out to warn and plead, ot maybe to repent and save yourselves.

I want to claim that as we work through our lives, as we allow God to use us, thousands will be added, salvations will come!

God Selects YOU!

Let's take a look at Exodus 31:1-5,

1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts- 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to
engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

From this scripture, there are five points that we need to know that the lord want to fill us in and we need to learn to ask from him and apply it in what we do so that we can perform in his purpose with perfection.

1. We need to be filled with the spirit
To be filled with the spirit, we need to do the things that we are ask to do with abundance of his presence. You are personally anoited to perform what he has for you. Sometimes, we are fearful to say that we are anoited by God to do certain task because we are afraid that others may feel that we are proud in it and if we didn't perform well in it, we will feel that maybe we are not anoited to do this thing. But we need to know that being anoited is actually a way of humbling ourself down to recognise that what we can do is only given by God and to acknowledge him in using you to do the thing. You need to be completely filled with his spirit so that you can perform according to his purpose.

2. You need to be filled with wisdom
Wisdom comes from knowing the skill to apply in what you do. You need to pray for God to fill you with wisom but you also need to continously upgrade yourself so that your skill can be polished. We need to refine our skill and this take discipline in practising it. You cannot just ask God for performing well in certain things example studying but you are not discipline in practising it. It's only through constantly upgrading yourslf when you can recognize how God can fill you with the wisdom to do it.

3. You need to be filled with understanding
Understanding is a mental process. We need to do things with understanding. You cannot just dash into a war without knowing who is your enemy and start fighting. You need to understand the purpose of why God want you to do the thing so that you can carry it out more effectively.

4. You need to be filled with knowledge
Knowledge is the perception and the discernment. It is to be aware of the thing you perform. It comes also from understanding. You need to do things in the knowledge of God then you will be convicted to do it joy and victory.

5. You need to be filled with all kinds of craftmanship
God has given every single one of us with different talents and skill. As we serve him in doing things, we need to humble ourself recognizing the talent we have comes from God. And only when we humbly obey and serve him whole-heartedly, believing that we are not defect in doing the things he entrusted us, then we will have the freedom to allow him to multiply the craft and gifts that he has for us.

Let us learn apply these five points and being a perfector for God in everything we do. God bless you =)

Thanksgiving for breakthrough during CNY

I thanks God for the wonderful breakthrough in my family this Chinese New Year and indeed it testified God’s faithfulness in answering my prayer and further strengthen my faith to continue to pray for my family’s salvation.

As my family and relatives are Buddhism, they will visit the temple on every first day of Chinese New Year to worship their God for good luck and fortune and it was no exceptions this year. I dislike following them to the temple but was forced to do so as a form of respect to my parents especially in front of my relatives. However, this year as I attended the youth leader’s meeting and prayed for blessings in my family, I decided to stand firm in the lord and asked for his hand of protection on me for any spiritual warfare that might surface. I thank God as he answered my prayer and delivered me out of the difficult circumstances with ways that I didn’t expect and even further open up doors to bring in the Gospel to my parents. The plan to visit the temple this year with my relatives was cancelled as one of my aunt received Christ and she stood firm in not planning any trip to the temple. I was overjoyed by her salvation as she was a strong Buddhism for the past forty years. And to my amazed as I went to my uncle’s house on the third day of CNY, my Uncle actually welcomed me with great joy in his heart and announced boldly in front of my parent, “Welcome to the Christian family”! I was in total shocked and fear at that moment, not knowing how my parents will respond. And after some sharing with my uncle, I found out that he was actually a backslider since he was in secondary two but he strongly believed in God and was very encouraged in my salvation. He explained to me how his faith has being tested by God throughout his journey and he wanted to return back to church this year as he shared his testimony on how God has bring salvation to his elder daughter who is in secondary four this year. It was an answered prayer for he has been praying that God will touch his two daughters and bring them into the family of Christ and he encouraged me that my aunt and my salvation was an open doors that the lord want to bring to my family and my relatives.

I explained to him my situation and he affirmed me that as I continue to keep my faith in praying for my family, they will definitely came to know the lord one day. He understands the persecution I faced from my parent as he had walked through the same journey facing the persecution from my grandmother. He shared with my mother about his past persecution and explained that it was indeed a joy for my salvation and he even hoped that I can bring his younger daughter to my church one day. Praise God! And because of the great testimonies that my uncle and aunt shared with my parent and other relatives, it softens my parent’s heart and all my other relatives also recognize me as a Christian. Although, my parent have yet to fully approve me to be a Christian, but they have loosen their opposition to me following Jesus. Hallelujah!

I really thank God for this wonderful breakthrough and through this I learned that as I continue to persevere in my faith and prayer, even with the limited strength and ability I have, God can enlarge it by sending his people to encourage and strengthen me.

If you do not have any for a start, do come and find me as I have many and am more than willing to lend you some!

Its the 6th day of the year and I have never felt so excited each day as I wake up!

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read `Heaven Grocery Store'.

As I got a little closer, the door came wide open, And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My child, shop with care." Everything a Christian needed was in the Grocery Store. And if you couldn't carry them, you could come back for more.

First I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Further down was UNDERSTANDING, you need that wherever you go.

I got a box of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, for He was all over the place. I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me win the race And though my basket was getting full, I remembered to get some GRACE.

I didn't forget SALVATION, for salvation, that was free. So, I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. Then I started up the counter to pay the grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do my Master's will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run into SIN. PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf. SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the Angel, "Now how much do I owe?"

He just smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go!"

Again I smiled at him and said, "How much do I really owe?"

The Angel smiled again and said, "My child, Jesus paid your bill a long time ago."

Dinner Out With Junhao!

It was a simple dinner at the Ampang Yong Tao Fu shop at Siglap! Guess Joa and Cherly never really ate Yong Tao Fu being served in such a way before, with the noodles in special sauce. The food was good correct! Awaiting for Joa to upload the pic of the food!

Following that.... we made our way to Macs for nice usual Ice-cream!

We had a great laugh especially at how Junhao looked when he was in secondary school. I totally agree he looked very different! Much more chubbier then! Haha...

It was fun just looking through the pass how we excel during our secondary school days!

I enjoyed the time just laughing and talkng nonsense! Looking forward to more such times with each one of you!

A son asked his father, "Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?"
The father who, despite having a heart condition, says "Yes".
They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying "Yes" to his son's request of going through the race together.
One day, the son asked his father, "Dad, let's join the Ironman together."

To which, his father said "Yes".

For those who didn't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever.
The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the big island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.

40-day prayer fasting is starting!
hahahas.
and i am here to do updates again! =D
well, as we move into this 40-day prayer and fasting,
my prayer for everyone is that you will encounter a personal transformation from inside out,
a very personal and intimate relationship with God will be built so that we may all grow in stature and favour of the Lord through this=)) also, as we fast together as a family, i pray that we'll build up a closer and strong family r/s, in love and in truth as we watch over each other :))

i think the previous fasting that i've planned is too harsh fer many of us,
especially for those who are still schooling.
so i am here to change it!=))
of course,
we'll carry on with our fasting and praying lars.
but then now you'll choose the type of fasting you want to take up=)
e.g. fasting of strongholds like tibits/computer/tv etc.. or fast a meal etc..
you can stick or change the fasting type as the week goes.
but i was thinking maybe for the last week of fast and prayer,
we will do it together as a family.
i'll see how then update u all again.
as for now,
we will stick to this new plan.
EVERYONE STEADY?!!

of course,
if you are ill or not feeling well during any days of fast and pray,
you'll be excused fer the fast lars.
cos body very weak already ya?

Sunday Dinner was a Breakthrough for me!

For like the very Rare time, I took a Train to Town after Church Service..

That's a HUGE breakthrough!

If you know me, I am an EAST MOUNTAIN TORTOISE
hanging aroung barely from Tampines Mall, Century Square & rarely Airport..

High Price to Pay for travelling so far (to town to eat subway, tampines also got),

I duno how much do you rate the unity in cell group, inter-cell group & the JL Tribe..

But what I shared with my girls during processing is that we should not take it for granted that each & every one of us fine in our own personal life.

Let's really take time, make effort to BUILD RELATIONSHIP.

I mean Relationship not talking about weathers, gossipping

but sharing each other's lives with the other.

When in Good times, let us not take each other for Granted. Let us not Assume that things are always gona be so nice & Good. But rather Build.

There is something that I would like to share. Recently I had fallen quite ill, having high fever, cough, phlegm and headache. Had seen 2 doctors and taken 3 days of medical leave (MC) from work. Just manage to return to work on 8 May 2008 though still feeling unwell but I need to go back to work!

Anyway, I committed quite a serious mistake in my work about 2 weeks ago which got my site manager and myself into some sort of trouble and inconvenience. I felt it was really a stupid mistake or decision which I have made. I apologized to my boss on spot and he say he wanted to kill me! Of course…that was joking but I guess he is quite frustrated over this matter.

When I met my mum for dinner that day, as I was waiting for her.. Again I felt remorseful and thinking that why has my stupidity causes this mistake that shouldn’t have happen! I message my boss again to apologize. And his reply was ‘OK, Do be careful next time. Take good rest as u are still quite sick. See u tomorrow’.

This bothered me because I kept thinking and asking myself WHY do I do such a silly thing? I was DISAPPOINTED with myself! I asked God that my attachment so far has been quite good, the bosses like me and why do such things have to come at such time to jeopardize all the effort I have put in so far! WHY is it so unfair? I know for this, my grade will be mark down and might affect my results eventually.

But God led me to my favourite verse in the bible: Romans 5:3-5. “It states but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the holy spirit, whom he has given to us.”

I reflected and I realize that what will I gain if I keep blaming myself, feeling remorseful, feeling guilty, complaint and whine? The end product is nothing! NOTHING but only a waste of time! Why not I focus on other more important thing! There are still things undone waiting for me to accomplish!

I just wanted to share that when things seem to go wrong or harsh on you…when there is really NOTHIING u can do about it…then STOP harping on the matter! Instead direct ur FOCUS to other things that require ur attention! Is it worth wasting those precious time just by blaming urself, falling into despair or ‘eating worms’? NO! God is a God who provides! When we fall, he will pick us up! He will make a way which we cannot see! He will Bless! I praise God in this situation for he made me learn my mistake and to be more careful in future! It’s alright to fall but U make sure u take the courage to stand up again! And only God gives that courage! Praise the Lord! Amen!

“In the beginning was the word and the word was from God”. It was such a privilege for us today to read the words of God and without knowing his word; you will never be able to understand the will and the heart of God.

As this year of Sabbath begins, Senior Pastor has been leading us into reading a Psalm a day as well as challenging us to memorize the scripture. This has indeed draw me nearer to God and be more committed in reading his word as I follow the direction of the church.

“I have hidden your word in my Heart
so that I might not sin against you.”
~Psalm119:11~

Memorizing the scripture may not be easy for us as we often struggle with our daily busy schedule. We question ourselves,” we have so much report and studies to handle, how can we set aside the time to memorize the verse. Even if I do so, I will surely forget within a week!” But pause and think for a moment, if you don’t start memorizing the word now, there is a dangerous tendency that your mind and heart will be brainwash by the worldly issue. When crisis or storm hit you, you will be like the house built on the sand, collapse and be blow away. By memorizing the word, it serves as a reminder for us to walk in His ways. Even when storm hit, you will stand firm like the house built on the solid ground cos God’s word has filled your heart and it serve as a strong foundation for you. Only when you put the word in your heart, you will be able to meditate on it all day long and be careful to do everything in it.

My prayer for all of you today is that May the Holy Spirit burn in your heart a desire to love God’s word, a commitment to memorize the word. May you grow stronger in the lord and learn to draw strength from God in every situation!
Let’s us all not be only a hearer of the word but let’s be a Doer of the word!

As I drew nearer and nearer to God this season, I have a clearer vision on the purpose God has for me. At times, most of us were often clouded with uncertainty in the place we were in. We question ourselves, “Is this the right course I’m studying in? God, is this the workplace you want me to be in?”

As for me, whenever obstacles struck in my journey, I will doubt. Perhaps I’m not supposed to be here and that’s the reason why I seem to be struggling with every steps I take. There is so much uncertainty and worry in me that I forget the lot God has assigned for me and was often blinded to see his purpose for me. Without knowing his will, I run in my flesh and soon I grow weary and my spirit man grow faint.

Last sun sermon, as I step forward for the ministry section, God opened up my spiritual eyes. “My child, have you not see the purpose I have for you? It’s not by chance where you are now; it’s me who has assigned you to be in that place.”

Just to share a little background about myself, I’m currently in third year in NTU. My studies are not good at all and I struggle in that area ever since I enter NTU. A lot of things crop up for me, like receiving an Academic warning in my first semester and end up taking 2 less modules compared to my friends. It takes me quite sometimes to get over it and in the end, I received a letter from NTU that actually I didn’t receive an Academic warning but it was too late as I had to take the 2 modules in another semester. Project works always end up not grouping with my click of friends but with students who I’m not familiar with. Applying for environmental companies for my attachment but couldn’t get in and through second opting; I end up in a construction company and have to travel all the way to Paya Lebar every morning. I was poor in structural work and it was a struggle to catch up with the Engineers there. Was all this a joke, I question God. But it’s definitely not because God designed it to be this way…

During the ministry section, I sense such a strong affirmation from God that he has already blessed and plan my future and there is no need to be worry about it. What he wants me to undergo now is because he is more interested in building up my character for the future he has for me. It is not by chance that I have to go through all these; it is because every time I struggle through this period, I get closer to God one step bigger. I learn more on trusting him and following his will. God has assigned us our portion. It is only when we understand this purpose, we can make use of where we are to fulfil his will and plan for us!

On Sat(yesterday) , while having Lunch with a friend.. We were chatting about work...

Then somehow I shared that I am working to survive... Which is quite tough holding on to my Pirmary Part time & always got to Rush off from there to my tuition job... To me, It's Physically Tiring...

Then he shared that He is so different from me... He is working yet still able to get allowance from parents.. Oh well, how different life...

Then he said that that is then considered Real Royalty.. Hmm, Using Riches to Define Royalty? If that is so, Then I am not A Princess... He second to it...

At that moment, I think again, If Riches = Royalty then I am really not a Princess...

Oh what?! I am not a Princess?? So what were I "assuming" to be all these while??

In deception?! Gosh, that overwhelms me & make me real sad...

I did not want to give much thought to the "Revelation" I had with my friend...

That ends my Sat...

However, Today as Pastor Khong preached about Psalm 103:4 "... crown you with love & compassion..."

The word crown already symbolise that He is the King & we are in his Royalty Family...

Pastor also shared that we ought to have PRIDE & DIGNITY not on the things that we achieved in life, not out outer appearence but based on the TRUTH that we are his Children...

Our Heavenly Father is the King, so who are we??!!

Hmm, King's servant..Yup, we can be.. But More to that, God loves us so much to call us & own us as His Children...

(Even in the Bible, some said that they are not worthy to hold the sandal of Jesus, who are we to be the child of God without his Grace?!)

Oh Yes, Our dignity is found in the our status.. Who we are when we know who is the King...

If Money is our King, we probably be a slave... a super pathetic one i guess.. If worldly relationship is our King, we might break down if it fails, which normally will...

If we choose our Heavenly Father as King, we will be His Crowned Princess...

Princess Crowned By Him but not any Tom, Dick, Harry...

This Truth sets me free & I feel so Light NOW!

This was a video which was showed at the recent Encounter weekend which I went. My heart was broken when I saw this video and I truely repented of the sins in my life and I am convicted not to go back to them again, even the little ones. For the very reason I do not want to have to nail Jesus onto the cross over and over again. Even as I hear the lyrics of the song, I felt it was my heart's cry to God.

Do take some time to view the video and spent some time reflecting upon it. May the Lord speak ever so clearly to your spirit men!

Youth Camp Reflection by Eunice Girl

I enjoyed and had fun during the youth camp. I had fun during the games, I enjoyed most is the handicap game, although it's hard but I feel happy to be a lame. It's like we can experience how those handicap feels and we could step out from our comfort zone to experience something new.
We must also trust that our team members, because I'm lame I must trust that they could carry me.

The game, 'Save the loved ones', I didn't really participate because the opponent's team hands are holding together and it's difficult to get in.. But I felt quite bad because I saw others trying their best to play the game and I feel that I must try my best in everything I do.

For the ministries, I felt touched by God and His love for me. And no matter what happens, God will always be with me and I'm not alone. And I gain and learn alot, setbacks plays a part in our lives. And in any problems that we had, I believed God has a plan for it and we should really place our trust and seek God if anything happen.

I feel very very very very very very blessed to be in this family. In this family, I feel very very very loved too. THANK GOD FOR EACH AND EVERYONE! I want to continue to grow in the Lord. I want to spend more time in this family too!

Youth Camp Reflection by Claire

I feel that the games is an important part of the camp. It stirs up the fun and HIGH~! feelings in all of us! Truly, I enjoyed every game. Having to be able to play the games with my brothers and sisters, I feel sooooooooo blessed. I really like to thank God for the prescence of everyone there, and the effort put in by the camp community. One game that I enjoyed a lot with my team mates is the game that need to pass the coin. YAY~! Very fun. =) Despite many unsuccessful tries, my team still continued to encourage each other. There was no paiseh feeling and it warms my heart! Thank the Lord for them! <333>

Ministries were a great time to connect to God and the Holy Spirit. The pastors taught me so many things until i had no time to copy down. So like, almost half the time during ministries, I.... nod my head. :) It was very super duper great being slained and slained by mama! Whoo~! Feel its quite an annointment from God, and really gave me confidence to believe that God is with me + Holy Spirit with me! =D Another ministry, the one on the Year of Sabbath. R.E.S.T!!! It made so much sense to me + gave me Hope! Hehahooo. Oh and, I love the songs played!

div>Being in this family I feel very secured and loved. THANK GOD SO MUCH FOR EACH AND EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY. I LOVE MY FAMILY!

I think that the games were fun and i noticed that every game has a moral behind it. The most challenging game is the ball one. My team is trying to separate the colours of the ball but we just couldn't do it. But it's okay bcos i feel that we should enjoy the process and not the outcome.

The ministry was very good to me as i learned lots of things which i can apply into my life. "Setbacks are training programme from God", this phrase really tell me that i should not give up or lose trust in God when we do not have victory in our work. I feel that we should really trust God and hand our life to Him. I believe He has a plan for me. And songs were great! =D Especially 'Magnificent' this song! =D And, and, and, and, and! I actually can feel God and the Holy Spirit! Yays! =D

I feel very very very very very very very very very lucky to be in this family! I feel so loved sooooooooo blessed! I love my cell and i love your cell too! You are a clever mama, sexy mama, BIG mama, bad mama, naughty mama, wierd mama, pretty mama!! No matter who/what are you, I LOVE YOU cos God love me for who i am. [:

The Psalms : Israel's Prayer and ours

Even as we move into reading a Psalm a day.. I felt lead to even go deeper into understanding more about how this whole book is written and the context from which Psalms come from. As we move on to enjoy this very book of Psalm, lets just set the stage right...

1. Psalm are basically prayer and hymns, by its very nature, by their very nature, they are addressed to God to express truth about God in Song

2. Psalm help us to express oursleves to God and to consider his ways

3. Psalms are of great benefit to believers who need help from the bible in expressing joys and sorrows, successes and failures, hopes and regretes

I will share more as I read through the Guide book which helps us to read Psalms better..

Meanwhile, let us find delight in the Lord as we come into this Year of Sabbath!
